At Cosmetrack, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Cosmetrack (the "App").

Information We Collect

Personal Data

When you use our App, we may collect the following personal information:

• Email address
• Username
• Device information (model, operating system)
• Usage data (how you interact with the App)
• Error reports

Cosmetics Data and Images

Our App allows you to scan and track cosmetic products. To provide this functionality, we collect:

• Images of cosmetic products you scan
• Product information (name, brand, category, expiration date)
• Your personal collection of products

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our App
• Process and complete transactions
• Send you technical notices and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Develop new features and services
• Monitor usage of the App

AI Product Recognition

Our core feature is AI-powered recognition of cosmetic products. When you scan a product:

• The image are sent to OpenAI servers for processing, it is not possible to opt out of this
• We receive the product information from OpenAI and propose to store it in our database, but we don't guarantee accuracy of the information received

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in the Supabase. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist us in operating our App
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
• In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, etc.)

Third Party Access

We use third-party services to enhance and provide the functionality and reliability of Cosmetrack. Services might have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by deleting your account and uninstalling the app. To delete your account, go to the Profile section in the app and select "Delete Account." This will permanently remove all your personal data from our servers.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers.

Your Data Rights

We respect your privacy rights under various regulations depending on where you live. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at app.cosmetrack@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
